Welcome to the website for the Christiana Powery Memorial Hoops for Hope! This tournament is held in memory of Christiana Powery, former NJB player, who passed away December 2005 due to complications from Juvenile Dermatomyositis and Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis.
The 3v3 tournament will be held on October 11, 2008 at Pioneer High School (1290 Blossom Hill Road, San Jose, 95118). There will be different divisions starting from 3rd-4th grade all the way through adults. All proceeds go to Friends of CARRA (501(c)3 # 20-3451370), a non-profit organization focused on researching cures for childhood rheumatic diseases, including JDMS and JRA.
